Dan Perez, Chief Executive Officer

Dan Perez is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Reconext.   Dan joined Clover Wireless in April 2017 as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman and led the successful combination of Valutech Outsourcing, Clover Wireless and Teleplan to form Reconext a leading aftermarket services company focused on providing customers with customized deep device reclamation, repair and recommerce solutions that drive extended product life and optimal asset value.

Dan has more than 35 years of leadership experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. He co-founded OnCore Manufacturing Services, which under Dan’s leadership grew into an industry leader in both quality and service in the Defense and Aerospace, Medical Device, and Industrial OEM markets.    Prior to OnCore, Dan was the EVP of world-wide sales, account management and marketing for Solectron Corporation, one of the world’s leading tier-one electronics manufacturing services companies. Dan joined Solectron in 1991 and held several C level operating and administrative positions at the company. During Dan’s tenure Solectron’s revenues grew from $250M to over $12B.    Before joining Solectron, Dan served 14 years with IBM Corporation in a number of increasingly responsible management positions in supply chain, manufacturing and product planning.

Dan currently serves on the boards of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and The Tech Interactive and has previously served on several private and public company and not-for-profit boards of directors.

Dan earned an MBA and a BA in political science, both from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Shahriyar Rahmati, Chief Executive Officer

Shahriyar Rahmati is the Chief Executive Officer of Reconext and is also a member of the Reconext Board of Directors.

Shahriyar has over 25 years of experience in operations, finance, strategy and technology. He has held several senior leadership positions in private companies in both the US and Europe at businesses spanning several industries with a core focus on electronic materials, supply chain & logistics, and the application of technology to value creation.

Shahriyar also serves on the Board of Directors of Neovia Logistics, a forward logistics focused firm with a global footprint. Shahriyar earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from New York University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

John Wharton, Chief Financial Officer

John Wharton is the Chief Financial Officer of Reconext. John is a seasoned financial executive with deep experience in global financial operations and reporting, strategic planning & organizational leadership, international finance, budgeting & cost management, growth & expansion strategies, mergers, acquisitions & divestments, profitability & cost analysis, contract negotiation and analysis, and systems & technology utilization.

Prior to joining Reconext, John was Vice President of Finance for Americold, where he led the Corporate Finance and Business Operations Finance organization for a $2B global warehousing and logistics organization that operates in 6 different countries, guiding it through the private equity, public offering and acquisition stages of its growth. Prior to Americold, John held senior finance positions with Westrock, Cisco Systems and Scientific Atlanta.

John earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Georgia and his MBA from Georgia State University.

Richard X. Fischer, Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel

Rich Fischer is the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Reconext, and is responsible for the company’s legal, government affairs, communications and human resources functions worldwide. Rich was previously the EVP and general counsel for Clover Technologies Group, a position he held starting in 2012. Rich is the former Vice-President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Compliance Officer of Navigant Consulting, Inc. and the former Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer for Sears Holdings, Inc., where he also spearheaded Sears’ corporate responsibility programs. Prior to joining Sears, Rich also spent a number of years in private practice at the law firms of Sidley & Austin, Sonnenshein Nath & Rosenthal, and Foley & Lardner.

Rich earned his B.A. in psychology from the University of Notre Dame and his JD cum laude from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.

Michael Smith, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Michael Smith is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Reconext. Michael joined Reconext’s precursor, Teleplan, in 2016 as President for the Americas and in 2019 expanded his role to include all Reconext facilities in the Americas. Prior to joining, Michael had a long and distinguished career that included serving as the Chief Commercial Officer for Entercoms as well as significant operations and general management roles at Foxconn and Motorola.

Michael earned a BS and MS in electrical engineering, both from the University of South Florida.
